AHA collectively represents the students enrolled in Anthropology and Health Studies programs at the University of Toronto Scarborough in a democratic manner. The Departmental Student Association aims to enhance the academic experience of students enrolled in the Anthropology and Health Studies programs in the following ways:
  • Enhancing academic progression and engagement for students in Anthropology and Health Studies departments at the University of Toronto Scarborough
  • The creation of a community where students can interact with each other within common academic interests in a safe and friendly environment
  • The creation of a community where students can interact with faculty members of the Anthropology and Health Studies department to promote research, volunteer, and work opportunities
  • Providing advisory services for students within the anthropology and health studies department, such as mentorship and essay editing
  • Working with faculty to assess and improve courses offered by the department of Anthropology and Health Studies to ensure progression of the department’s academic with the interest of the student body
  • A place for students at the University of Toronto Scarborough to voice their opinions and concerns regarding academics, administration and faculty in a sensitive and safe environment
